Essentials of Silk Reeling
12 simple exercises to improve joint mobility
Silk Reeling (or chan si gong) is a series of exercises originally developed as a basic training method for the Chen family style of Tai Chi. The spiraling nature of these movements help the practiotioner to develop better range of motion in the major joints of the body as well as provide a massage for the internal organs.
In this version, Master Jose Johnson teaches what he consideres to be the most essential movements for improving general health and mobility based on his 3 decades of teaching this routine to thousands of Tai Chi and Qigong students as well as in his work with seniors and rehabilitation patients.
You don't need to study Tai Chi to get the tremendous benefits that are available through the practice of Silk Reeling
